Similarly today our scientists list the evidence of man made global catastrophe without knowing exactly when and where the axe will fall. Last year the Arctic Icecap was unexpectedly destroyed. What will be next? Politicians in democratic countries are almost powerless to act because the public is so ill informed and apathetic. The public is generally aware of the dangers and willing to pay for action - but what action? Actions proposed by many voices are soothing and baffling expedients which are not likely alone to bring us a safe climate. Hasty initiatives, like ethanol production, have backfired. We need to ask the right question - and then hear an answer from every country - How will you create a safe climate in your country?
